This stir-fried noodle recipe uses basic ingredients like noodles, garlic, soy sauce and vegetables (optional) to make a delicious, restaurant-style meal at home. It’s quick to cook — under 20–25 minutes — and you can customize it with veggies, eggs, chicken or whatever you like. Soft noodles coated in a nice savory sauce, lightly seasoned — perfect for a quick meal.
Boil Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package instructions (or until just tender). Drain them and rinse with cold water to stop cooking — then drain again.
Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, dark soy sauce (if using), sugar, and water. Keep ready.
Heat Oil & Sauté Garlic: In a large pan or wok, heat oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic (and chopped green onion whites if using) and sauté until fragrant.
Add Noodles: Add the drained noodles to the pan. Stir well to coat with oil and garlic
Add Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles. Stir and toss gently until noodles are evenly coated and sauce is absorbed or slightly reduced.
Add Veggies (Optional): If using vegetables — add them either before or after noodles depending on cooking time. Stir-fry until vegetables are cooked but still slightly crisp. Then mix with noodles.
Finish & Serve: Once everything is well mixed and hot, transfer to a plate. Garnish with chopped green onion tops or sesame seeds if you like. Serve hot.
